HIking in the Wallowas
We had a beautiful 3-mile hike, eating huckleberries and splashing in the waterfall at the end. The hike was especially momentous as Livvy practically ran the whole way (singing the whole way) and did not require any assistance. Nate can now safely list the Kelty backpack on e-bay!
Joseph, Oregon
We fell in love with the tiny town of Joseph in the Wallowa mountains of Oregon. It is named for Chief Joseph who had been told by the US gov't that he could return there with his people, but sadly he did not ever make it back. On this trip we stayed in a cabin near Wallowa lake but drove the two miles back to Joseph to shop and eat.

Livvy and Lexie may have started out on the little boats but eight hours later they were taking on the big rides!
The Big Slumber Party
The 4th annual slumber party was a huge success. Everyone stayed the entire night. Aunt Tammy rescued us by dropping off ice cream for a treat after the video and it took only six minutes after the "It's really time to go to sleep now" warning for complete silence!
